NAPOLI INTERESTED IN KEVIN STROOTMAN.
The Serie A team has turned its attention to
the Netherlands international, while they are also keen on his PSV
team-mate Dries Mertens.Kevin Strootman could be on his way out of PSV this summer, as Napoli have shown an interest in luring the midfielder to Serie A ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.The
Netherlands international has long been linked with a move to a bigger
league, with Manchester United among the teams keeping a close eye on
the 23-year-old.Napoli now seem to be leading the
race for Strootman.
A move to Napoli is by no means a certainty yet, however, as Strootman's preference remains a move to the Premier League.The midfielder has a contract with PSV until the summer of 2016, but could be available for a fee in the region of €15 million.Meanwhile, Napoli are closing in on Dries Mertens as well, as they see the PSV winger as a valuable addition to their attack.The 26-year-old is also under contract with his current club until June 2016.
