WILL DAVID VILLA LEAVE BARCELONA FOR A MOVE TO PREMIER LEAGUE ???

DAVID VILLA WANTS A MOVE AWAY FROM BARCELONA INSPITE OF HIS CONTRACT COMPLICATIONS SINCE NEYMAR IS LIKELY TO REPLACE HIM IN THE SQUAD.

David Villa’s likely exit from Barcelona to Premier League north London rivals Tottenham or Arsenal has been put in doubt by a contract clause published by Marca today. When Barcelona signed Villa from Valencia on a four-year deal, they agreed to pay the Spanish striker 7.5 million euros a season, bumping this upto 11 million euros for the final campaign of the contract. The intention was to reward Villa for leaving Valencia and to see out his contract at the Nou Camp which ends in a year but this now complicates a summer exit to Arsenal or Spurs, according to Marca.Villa is now set to be the second highest paid player at Barcelona, behind Lionel Messi, during 2013/2014 but with the arrival of Neymar looks set for a predominantly bench role under Tito Vilanova. Nevertheless, Villa is believed to still be keen on leaving Barcelona and heading for the Premier League with offers in place from both Arsenal and Tottenham. Marca add that Villa has a 99% chance of leaving Barcelona for the Premier League but the striker is biding his time with Barcelona holding out for a 15 million euro fee. This new revelation of a contract clause means the Catalans may have to pay compensation to Villa and the move to one of the north London clubscould well be a drawn out one. Villa is currently with the Spain squad heading tothe Confederations Cup and has said he will sortout his future in July.
