Florentino Perez admits Real Madrid would have no qualms paying big money for Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale, but he says they need to wait for their new coach to be appointed before making any moves.Perez has not hidden his admiration for Bale and he insists that the club would have no problem paying what is needed, with claims that Spurs would demand a world record £85 million for the Welshman who scored 21 Premier League goals this past season for spurs.Real madrid last night confirmed they will not baulk if Tottenham demand £85million for Gareth Bale.President Perez has smashed the world transfer record four times to bring in Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.

There has yet to be further developments on a new contract that Bale was reportedly set to be offered, but the 23-year-old’s latest comments about Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas suggest that he is happy to remain at the club.

If Bale does arrives at madrid, with Cristiano Ronaldo set to stay, it could mean the end of Angel di Maria’s time at the Bernabeu. There has been much speculation over the winger’s future and the new Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to pursue a £30 million move for the Argentina international. It may be, though, that a decision over Di Maria’s future will not be taken until a new manager is appointed.
